Gyutan Daisuki Yakiniku Happy @ Nihonbashi/Tokyo

Gyutan Daisuki Yakiniku Happy @ Nihonbashi/Tokyo

A yakiniku restaurant just a short walk from Ningyocho Station.

Stepping into a side alley, I spotted the welcoming lights that looked just right for the place.

Happy’ love that name, haha.
Turns out there are a few branches: Ayase, Kami-Itabashi, Kawagoe… and more.

Cheers!

Mega Lemon Sour.
If you’re at a yakiniku spot, mega is the only way to go.

Gyutan Chili Oil.

The rich flavor is perfect as a side dish for drinks,
and it would probably go great with rice too.
I’d love to use it as a filling for onigiri.

Happy Karubi.

Thick, meaty all around.

After all, yakiniku is best with a tabletop grill.

I can’t get enough of this sizzle.

The legendary seared gyutan yukhoe.

The specialty, Happy Blooming Gyutan.

It looks just like a steak.

Cut into dice-like pieces,

chewier than regular gyutan.

A good squeeze of lemon…

Gyutan and a lemon sour — can’t go wrong, a classic combo.

What an irresistible moment.

This place works perfectly with an izakaya vibe,
and lunch seems great too… wish there was one closer to me.

Thanks for the meal!
